Academy Assessment Lesson (Hire Kart)

The Academy Assessment Lesson is the perfect starting point for drivers of any age or experience level.

Using one of our hire karts, you'll spend time on track with an instructor who will assess your current ability, confidence, race craft, and driving technique. This isn't a test – it's an opportunity for us to understand where you are now and recommend the best next steps for your development.

Whether you're completely new to karting, looking to improve your lap times, or considering moving into owner-driver racing, this lesson will provide a clear pathway forward.

For drivers interested in progressing towards race karting, the Assessment Lesson is the first step in identifying the skills and experience needed before moving into owner-driver machinery and competition.

Join us for the Teesside Motorsports 2026 Trophy Presentation as we celebrate another fantastic year of racing.

Taking place at The Sporting Lodge, Middlesbrough on Saturday 28th November 2026, the evening will bring together drivers, teams, families and friends from across our championships.

We’ll be presenting trophies for:

• Teesside Owner Sprints – Summer Series
• NRG Hire Championship
• 24H Championship
• NBS Endurance Championship

The evening will be presented by David Sullivan and includes dinner, trophy presentations and live music.

🏁 The 5 O’Clock Club – After-School Karting!

Thursdays at 5pm – the perfect way to finish the school day!

The 5 O’Clock Club is our weekly after-school karting session, giving young drivers the chance to get out on track, build their confidence and have some serious fun!

For just £25 per driver (normally £29.00), they’ll get 30 minutes of karting – perfect for burning off some after-school energy.

Booking opens 48 hours before each session, so spaces can only be booked from 5pm on Tuesday for that Thursday.

30-Minute Timed Arrive & Drive (Adults Only)

Our 30-minute timed arrive & drive sessions are perfect for anyone who wants to get out on track, set some quick laps and see how they measure up against the clock.

Unlike our standard arrive & drive sessions, these adults-only sessions are fully timed using our professional timing system.

Family Arrive & Drive – 30 Minutes

Karting Fun for the Whole Family!

Get out on track together with our 30-minute Family Arrive & Drive sessions, designed especially for families with children.

Kids can enjoy the excitement of driving their own junior kart, while adults can join them on track in our family-session karts. Younger children can even experience karting alongside an adult in one of our two-seater karts.

Who Can Take Part?

• Kids aged 8–15 can drive their own junior kart

• Junior drivers must be at least 4'6" (1.37m) and comfortably reach the pedals

• Adults aged 16+ can drive alongside the kids

• Children from age 5 can ride with an adult in a two-seater kart

Family-Friendly Sessions

These sessions are specifically for families and children. You won't be mixed into our faster adult-only timed sessions, making them a much more comfortable introduction to karting for younger or less experienced drivers.

Every driver receives a full safety briefing before going on track, and all required safety equipment is provided.

30 Minutes of Family Track Time

Whether it's their first ever drive or they're already karting mad, it's a great way for children and adults to enjoy the track together.

🎄 Open Christmas Parties at Teesside Karting

Perfect for regular drivers or smaller groups of 1–8 people, our Open Christmas Party races combine festive fun with serious track action!

Join other racers for a mixed-grid Iron Man race, followed by a homemade Christmas dinner in our fully licensed restaurant.

Limited spaces are available on weekends and Black Eye’d Friday leading up to the Christmas break – early booking is essential!

Family Arrive & Drive – 30 Mins (Weekend)

A fun and easy karting session for families! Suitable for ages 8+, with a full induction included.

• 30-minute session on the West Circuit

• Adults drive single-engine karts only

• All sessions must be pre-booked

Twin-engine karts are not permitted in family sessions.

For out Littler Drivers the Two seater kart is available from 5 years old - just add a two seater kart and the driver [adult] doesn't pay.

🎄 Teesside Karting Christmas Party – Schools, Youth Groups & Sports Teams

End the year on a high with a Christmas Party at Teesside Karting — the perfect mix of excitement, food, and festive fun for schools, youth organisations, and sports teams.

Our supervised karting sessions are designed for safety, teamwork, and big smiles — giving young racers the chance to enjoy a real track experience followed by a festive meal in our café.

Recommended Age & Group Size

• Ages: 8–16 years (split into Junior and Teen sessions)
• Group size: 10–30 drivers
• Supervisors: 1 free adult supervisor or coach per 10 children (non-driving)
• All safety equipment provided: Race suit, helmet, gloves, and safety briefing included.

Three races. Three layouts. One Champion.

Take on three 40-minute races in one day, scoring points from each finishing position to decide the overall One-Day Championship Winner.

Championship Points

Points are awarded for your finishing position in each race. The highest-scoring driver after all three races is crowned the One-Day Champion.

Drivers will also be classified as Under 80kg and 80kg and over.

Elite Racing on Our Premium Circuit!

Take on the ultimate Iron Man challenge on our full International Circuit – the biggest and fastest circuit configuration at Teesside.

With a 20-minute practice session followed by a full 40-minute race, this is a full hour of track action with one kart per driver.

Race Package Includes:

• 20-minute practice session

• 40-minute main race

• One kart per driver

• Full International Circuit – The Big Circuit

• Professional digital timing

• Live timing and online results

• All safety equipment provided

The International Circuit combines technical sections with longer straights, giving drivers the opportunity to really experience the performance of our karts across the full circuit.

Perfect for experienced racers, competitive groups and drivers looking for our premium racing experience.

Drivers must be aged 16+.

Minimum 25 drivers required to book.
